How to Enter
Entry into the Living Now Book Awards is fast and convenient. Online entry requires using a credit card; mail-in entry can be done by credit card or by company or personal check in U.S. funds.
Authors and publishers throughout North America and overseas publishers who publish English-language books. Books with 2019-2021 copyrights, or that were released between September 2019 and June 2021 are eligible. The exception is our Living Now Evergreen categories, which accept books published since the year 2000.
Entry Fees are per title, per category. Enter one book in one category for a single entry fee; enter one book in two categories, pay two entry fees. (Sorry, no discounts for multiple title or category entries.) Final entry deadline is June 26, 2021 -- this is a postmark deadline, so you need to be entered online by that date or have your mail-in entry postmarked by that date. There is a ten day grace period after the deadline for books to arrive.
Submission for more than one category is acceptable. Submit TWO copies of the title per category. For example, when you enter a title into two categories, please send us four books. All books entered become the physical property of the Living Now Awards and will eventually be donated to local libraries and charities.
We will confirm your entry via email, and send judging updates and results announcements by email as well. Please inform us of any email address changes or additional contacts you'd like added to our contest update list.
Judging will be based on content, originality, design, and production quality, with emphasis on innovation and creativity. Our judging panel includes experts from the fields of editing, design, reviewing, bookselling and library. Three to five medalists per category will be named on about July 29, 2021.
Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded in each category, along with certificates, award seals and marketing materials.
